Fool Hollow Lake
Located at an elevation of 6,400 feet near
Show Low, Fool Hollow
Campground is accessed via Arizona Highway 60. The camping season is year
round. Use of this campground is described as heavy.
Recent development of Fool Hollow Recreation Area has created a top of
the line recreation experience. Campsites are located along several loops
winding through the ponderosa pine and pinyon pine. Several campsites have
views of Fool Hollow Lake and the wildlife islands. The predominant tree
species is ponderosa pine and pinyon pine.
There are 92 trailer hookup sites and 31 developed campsites.
Electricity, water, and sewer are available, and there are five shower
restrooms. There are two boat ramps. Trailers under 32 feet are accommodated.
The managed Season is from April through October. This is a fee area. Fishing
and boating are available at
Fools Hollow Lake.
Considerations: There is a 14-day stay during any 30 day period. Keep a
clean camp and leave the area clean for the next occupant. The area is operated
by Arizona State Parks and there is an office on site. Contact the State Parks

Nearby services include: Telephone, gas, food, and other services are
available in the City of Show Low.
Access: From Show Low drive west toward the intersection of Highways
260, 60, and 77. Turn west (right) on Hwy. 260 (towards Payson). Drive 2.0
miles to Old Linden Road. Turn right on Old Linden Road. Drive .6 miles to Fool
Hollow Lake Road. The road leads to the main entrance of the Recreation
Area.
