Like to hike and view wildlife? How about a hike through our many forest trails! Hear Elk bugling in the high mountain air that is crisp in the morning and remains fresh all day. Arizona's White Mountains are home to a variety of wildlife including: Elk, Deer, Antelope, Javelina, Bear, Turkey, Sheep, Mountain Lion, Squirrel, and water fowl.

Fishing is a year 'round opportunity! Hunting seasons are scheduled by the Arizona Game & Fish Department. Permits are required, along with a legal hunting license, for the taking of big game on public lands. Hunting may also be scheduled on Indian Lands in accordance with the Tribal Game & Fish Departments. Seasons for harvesting wildlife on Indian Lands must be confirmed with the Tribe.

Trophy Elk are not uncommon in our area. Hunters utilize a variety of methods authorized by Arizona State Law. Permitted methods for harvesting wildlife may include: Archery, Muzzleloading Rifles, Firearms, and Trapping.

The Arizona Game & Fish department keeps a list of licensed guides to assist hunters and fishermen. Remember -- if you hire a guide, he or she must be legally licensed! You are responsible for your hunt! Should you engage a licensed guide, ensure that they are knowledgeable as to hunting requirements!
